Service terms
The plain-language terms for weekly trash and recycling service.

1. Service
Black Bear Trash Removal LLC ("we") provides weekly curbside collection of residential household trash and separately bagged recyclables at approved addresses in Thornton, Campton and Ellsworth, NH. We confirm each address before service begins.
2. Plans & bag limits
Weekly trash allowances are measured in standard kitchen-size trash bags (about 13 gallons): Tier 1, 1–5 bags; Tier 2, 6–9 bags; Tier 3, 10–14 bags. Bags must be tied closed. Consistent overages may require moving to a higher tier.
3. Mandatory recycling
- Recycling is required for all customers on all tiers.
- Recyclable materials must be separated from regular household trash and placed in a separate bag.
- Customers must follow our published recycling preparation and collection guidelines.
- For a first instance of noncompliance, we will issue one warning with guidance on how to correct the issue.
- After the first warning, further violations may result in collection being refused, or service being suspended or terminated.
4. Billing
Service is billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, using automatic recurring payments. Launch promotions apply only to the first month of service for eligible new customers; regular pricing applies thereafter. Payment receipts are emailed automatically.
5. Excluded materials
We do not collect hazardous waste, chemicals, paint, propane tanks, batteries, electronics, tires, construction debris or bulky items as part of standard service.
6. Weather & holidays
Severe weather or holidays may shift pickup days. We will communicate schedule changes by email or on our Facebook page.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
